Journeyman Electrician at Award Electric

Are you a safety-first problem-solver that’s ready to repair, replace, install, and maintain electrical systems in homes, businesses, and factories? We’re looking for experienced electricians with a passion for helping our customers keep their lights on. Our next hire has the technical skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various electrical problems, understands the importance of and ensures all work adheres to national and local safety codes, and has completed all training, apprenticeship, and licensing requirements. 27 - 30 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Verify that the wiring is in compliance with all building rules and requirements for safety
• Conduct residential and commercial maintenance and installation of electrical equipment
• Test newly installed electrical components to ensure proper function
• Install wiring and other electrical components, and test to ensure it’s properly connected
• Locate and correct electrical problems, including component installation and replacement

Qualifications:

• Ability to speak well and deal effectively with people, including tact and courtesy
• Valid electrician license is required
• Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable in all kinds of working and weather conditions, from small confined areas to great heights
