Junior and Senior Technician at Bluewater Architectural Products

Position: Junior and Senior Technician

Pay Range: $18-$25/hour 

We’re growing, and we’re hiring!  BlueWater Architectural Products is a material supplier and installer in the commercial construction industry, with projects all across the southeast.  We’re looking for junior and senior field & shop Technicians and a Foreman.  

As a Technician you’ll do the following:

• Weld and paint steel door frames
• Fabricate steel borrowed lites and window walls
• Prep steel doors for hardware and/or lites
• Prep and modify wood doors
• Build custom millwork/barn doors
• Install and service commercial doors and hardware
• Install steel or wood frames
• Install and service electronic access control systems (card readers, power supplies, electrified hardware)
• Install and service automatic handicap operators
• Install architectural accessories (fire extinguisher cabinets, toilet partitions, shelving, wall guards, marker boards, signage, operable walls)
• Operate shop tools (welder, grinder, bandsaw, drills, forklift, hand tools)

Qualified applicants must be able to do the following:

• Lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Pass a drug screen
• Provide a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines
• Work out of town and stay in a hotel
• Understand plumb, level, and square
• Read a tape measure, and use common measurement tools (framing square, level, laser)
• Be able to efficiently use common shop tools such as a screwdrivers, drills, saws, etc.
• Utilize basic math skills

Salary/Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
