Job Description
A new authentic Japanese restaurant (opening September 2025) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to support our Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Essential Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and executing a refined Japanese menu.
- Skillfully handle and fillet fresh fish and seafood.
- Ensure consistency and quality in every dish prepared.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
- Work with care and precision, consistently following proper food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the team to support smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a Japanese or sushi-focused kitchen is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to expertly handle and fillet fish.
- Strong attention to detail and a steady, diligent work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
‐ At least basic Japanese language skills.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
