Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an Associate with 3 to 4 years (2021 TO 2022 GRADS ONLY) of law firm litigation experience and a strong interest in employment law. Prior exposure to employment-related issues and familiarity with statutes such as the FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, the ADEA, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII are preferred but not required. Labor & Employment experience, however, is essential.
In this role, the Associate will:
Advise clients on compliance with wage and hour laws and workplace regulations.
Handle administrative agency actions.
Assist in employment litigation and arbitrations, including drafting pleadings and motions, preparing and responding to discovery, and supporting trial and arbitration matters.
The firm seeks candidates with excellent academic credentials, superior writing skills, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Admission to the Florida Bar is preferred, though highly qualified candidates seeking to relocate to Florida will also be considered. The ideal candidate excels in both team environments and when working independently, demonstrating initiative, professionalism, and a strong commitment to client service.
