Labor & Employment Senior Associate Attorney (San Francisco)

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 law firm seeking a Labor & Employment Senior Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its San Francisco office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the nation’s leading labor and employment practices, advising and representing top employers across a wide range of industries.

The firm’s Labor & Employment group—one of the largest and most prestigious in the country—represents clients from Fortune 100 corporations to innovative startups. The team provides full-service counsel on all aspects of employment law, including wage and hour matters, class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, employment agreements, workplace investigations, and union-management relations.

Responsibilities
  • Represent employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class actions.

  • Research, draft, and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions.

  • Conduct complex factual investigations and analyses.

  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

  • Provide clients with strategic advice and counseling on compliance, policy, and risk management.

  • Collaborate with partners and clients to deliver exceptional, results-driven representation.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of labor and employment litigation experience at a reputable law firm.

  • Strong litigation and advocacy skills, with substantial experience in motion practice and depositions.

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

  • Admission to the California Bar and in good standing.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with clients.

Location & Work Arrangement
  • On-site position based in San Francisco.

  • Minimum expectation of three days per week in the office.

Compensation
  • Annual salary range: $225,000 – $420,000
