Labor & Employment Associate Attorney – Orange County or Los Angeles
Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a highly respected, full-service law firm with offices in both Orange County and Los Angeles.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of employment litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on wage and hour class actions. This role offers the opportunity to work across single-plaintiff and class action matters, while also providing day-to-day employment counseling to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigate wage and hour class and representative actions
Handle single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
Provide employment law counseling on issues such as leaves, accommodations, discipline/termination, and compliance
(Optional but preferred) Assist with traditional labor matters
Qualifications:
4+ years of Labor & Employment experience, with wage and hour class action experience required
Prior experience advising employers on workplace compliance and risk management
California Bar admission required
Strong academic credentials and writing skills
Compensation:
Base salary: $250,000 – $275,000
Total compensation potential (including discretionary bonus): $375,000 – $425,000+, based on billable performance
