LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Location: Houston, TX
Our client, a premier international AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in Houston. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle complex and high-stakes labor and employment litigation matters while working alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the field.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
 - Active Bar Admission in Texas, in good standing
 - 2 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
 - Experience with temporary restraining order and temporary injunction proceedings, trade secret misappropriation, and non-compete litigation
 - Exposure to wage and hour class action and single-plaintiff employment litigation
 - Skilled in discovery, motion practice, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
 - Experience preparing for trial in both state and federal courts and participating in settlement conferences and negotiations preferred
 - Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
 - Strong writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required, with an exceptional work ethic and a team-oriented mindset
 
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including TROs, injunctions, trade secret, and restrictive covenant disputes
 - Conduct and manage written and document discovery, depositions, and motion practice
 - Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings for state and federal matters
 - Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitration proceedings
 - Support trial preparation and provide strategic litigation advice to clients
 - Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys across practice groups to deliver high-quality client service
 - Engage in client counseling and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to applicable employment laws and regulations
