Job Title: Project Electrician

Job Summary:
The Project Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on assigned job sites in accordance with local and national electrical codes. This role supports the successful completion of construction or renovation projects by ensuring all electrical systems are safe, functional, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including conduit, wiring, lighting, panels, breakers, transformers, and devices.
- Interpret and follow electrical plans, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet deadlines.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians when required.
- Perform system testing and inspections to ensure functionality and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete daily work reports and material requests accurately.
- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of accredited apprenticeship program
- 4+ years of electrical experience in construction or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficient with hand and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Work in various environments including heights, confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work on feet for extended periods.
Work Schedule & Dress Code:
- Full-time, typically Monday through Friday; overtime and weekends as needed based on project demands.
- Required dress: company-issued shirt, work pants/jeans, and steel-toe boots. PPE must be worn as required.
