LABOR & EMPLOYMENT STAFF ATTORNEY

WORKPLACE CLASS ACTION PRACTICE

Locations: CA (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley)

HYBRID (4 days/week in-office)


Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 international law firm, is seeking an experienced Staff Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Workplace Class Action Practice. This full-time, non-partnership track position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation matters within a collaborative, fast-growing practice supporting clients throughout California.


Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 15+ years of substantive experience in employment litigation, including class actions, collective actions, and PAGA matters
  • Strong legal research and writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality, strategic work product
  • Experience drafting key litigation documents, managing discovery, and advising on complex employment issues
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team-focused, high-performance environment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong professional relationships

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Workplace Class Action practice in representing employers in complex state and federal employment litigation
  • Draft and refine pleadings, motions, class certification briefs, and related filings
  • Manage and oversee discovery, including written discovery, document review, and deposition preparation
  • Contribute to litigation strategy and collaborate with partners and senior attorneys across multiple offices
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on evolving class action and PAGA issues
  • Assist with settlement preparation, analysis, and implementation
  • Maintain clear, client-ready communication and deliver practical guidance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual base salary range is $225,000-$335,000, as determined by experience and market factors
