Lead Electrician at Smartshield Homes

Job Summary:

• Read electrical plans and lead 2 person crew for all electrical rough-in and trim tasks on custom residential electrical projects
• Experience installing and cabling Lutron lighting systems preferred (no programming or turn-up experience required)
• Performs New Construction, Residential Installation and Service Work
• Speak professionally with customers, contractors and co-workers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Can read electrical plans
• Plans new or modified installations to provide access for future maintenance.
• Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.

• Installs control and distribution equipment such as switches, lighting, and circuit-breaker panels.

• Plan electrical materials needed for subject jobs on behalf of the company.

• Direct and train electrical helper to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment

List of Common Tasks:

• Outlet repair or replacement

• GFCI receptacle installation

• Circuit breaker repair or replacement

• New wire and chandelier installation

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

• Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers

• Panel change-outs

• Remodel and New Construction work

• Lighting Installs

• EV Chargers

Job Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of electrical experience (Journeyman Level Experience and education is preferred.)

• Valid Driver's License (Needs to have a clean driving record to drive company vehicle).

• Must pass criminal background check.

• Tools Required: Basic hand tools, driver, hammer drill required.

• Drug free workplace

• Must be able to read, write, speak and interpret English

• Physically able to perform demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit, moving or lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds
