You should:
Have 2+ years of host or lead host experience in high-volume, high-end venues such as cocktail lounges, fine dining/one Michelin-Starred restaurants, or boutique hotels
Be highly proficient in Resy and OpenTable, with the ability to manage large books, coordinate seating flows, handle VIP profiles, and anticipate guest needs
Demonstrate a deep understanding of pacing, table management, and guest flow to optimize both service and experience
Excel under pressure while maintaining composure, elegance, and a genuine smile — even on the busiest nights
Possess exceptional communication skills, balancing discretion and confidence when working with management, service teams, and high-profile guests
Show a keen eye for detail, from body language to seating preferences, ensuring every guest feels recognized and valued
Bring professionalism, punctuality, and pride to your role — understanding that the host stand sets the tone for the entire operation
For Lead Hosts: display leadership qualities, guiding and training other hosts, managing communication with floor managers, and ensuring consistency across shifts
