A Chicago-based Fintech firm that builds institutional-grade cryptocurrency trading infrastructure designed for Wall Street firms and large financial institutions. They’re hiring a Lead Java Engineer to join their small, fast-paced and energetic team. 

This is a great opportunity to have a significant impact within a small engineering team in an industry with lots of potential. They’re a rapidly scaling Series B firm looking for engineers with strong computer science fundamentals and drive. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering 

  • 6+ years of professional modern Java Software Engineering

  • Strong experience in Computer Science fundamentals (Data Structures, Algorithms, Multithreading) 

  • Familiarity with data pipelines, and backend-heavy architectures

  • Strong communications and collaboration skills 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Fintech systems 

  • Prior work with early-stage startup or small engineering team.

  • Experience with data architecture and interest in AI/ML-driven products

  • 75% Building high scale product features
