Description of Work:Have you considered using your clinical skills to teach the next generation of speech-language pathologists? The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking dynamic, team-oriented individuals for a full-time Lecturer position focused on providing clinical teaching and supervision in our master’s degree program in Speech-Language Pathology. We are looking for candidates with strong clinical and technical expertise, ready to contribute to the education of future speech-language pathologists. Responsibilities include supervising graduate students in clinical settings, managing electronic medical records, implementing and teaching documentation skills, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and other relevant state and federal regulations.

- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; CCC-SLP.
- Eligibility for Nebraska State licensure in speech-language pathology.
- At least five (5) years of clinical experience with a variety of speech-language disorders.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills; strong organizational skills, including the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
- Excellent ability to work with others, including colleagues, staff, and students.
- Ability to provide supervision in multiple areas of clinical speech-language practice (preference will be given to those with experience and continuing education in clinical supervision of students).
- Experience with pediatric populations with a variety of disorder types. Adult experience is also desirable, but pediatric experience is required.
- Continuing education in supervision as required by ASHA or ability to obtain such CE units prior to employment.
- Evidence of the ability to make independent decisions, develop programming, learn new skills, and lead others will be heavily considered.
- Experience working with all ages, pediatrics through adults, in a variety of areas.
- Evidence of advanced interest in the understanding of supervision principles, including training and continuing education.
- Supervision of others (externs, assistants, paraprofessionals).
