A well-respected, boutique law firm focusing on Social Security and Disability law is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven Legal Assistant/Case Manager to join their growing team. This role supports the attorneys by serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the long procedural timeline of disability cases.
About the Role:
The Legal Assistant/Case Manager plays a critical part in delivering an exceptional client experience. You will:
-Manage ongoing client communication, primarily by phone, to ensure clients feel supported even during long periods with little case activity.
-Build trusting relationships and act as a resource for clients’ general questions, helping protect attorney time for legal strategy and advocacy.
-Maintain and audit medical files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
-Proactively request medical records and track required documentation.
-Support case preparation for hearings and litigation.
-Collaborate closely with attorneys and internal managers to keep cases progressing smoothly.
Requirements:
-Exceptional communication and client-service skills; comfortable with high phone interaction.
-Strong relationship-building abilities and the confidence to guide clients through complex processes.
-Experience with medical records, case management, or similar work is strongly preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree required (field of study not important).
-Ability to work with sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
-Spanish language skills are a plus.
