Job Description

A nonprofit organization on Long Island (Suffolk County) is currently seeking a licensed professional (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) to join their team as their new Licensed Clinician. In this role, the Licensed Clinician will be responsible for working with adults navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges in a supportive, team-based environment.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assignment Length: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm (on-site only)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling
  • Develop and manage person-centered treatment plans
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on care coordination and case reviews
  • Manage crisis intervention as needed
  • Support discharge planning and external referrals
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR system (new system launch this winter)
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Substance Use Treatment
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Active NYS licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health needs in a residential or structured setting

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Lead and/or Supervisory role
  • CASAC certification
  • Familiarity with OASAS regulations
