Buba Bureka is a fast-paced breakfast and lunch counter in Greenwich Village serving one thing and doing it perfectly: burekas — savory Mediterranean pastries paired with briny pickles, crushed tomato, and jammy eggs.
We’re a small, dynamic team that values energy, vibe, and personality as much as skill. We’re looking for someone who’s quick with their hands, works clean, loves the rush, and enjoys chatting with guests.

Position Overview
The Boxer position bridges kitchen and counter — part line cook, part front-of-house. You’ll slice, plate, and box burekas while keeping the station clean and organized. You’ll be in the middle of the action: fast-paced service, constant motion, and great interaction with guests.
Responsibilities
Slice, plate, and box burekas with speed, care, and consistency.
Keep your station spotless and organized at all times.
Engage warmly with guests — personality is key.
Move ingredients and supplies between prep and service areas (including stairs).
Support the team and maintain smooth service flow.
Requirements
1+ year of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Clean, efficient work habits and attention to detail.
Outgoing, positive, and energetic personality — not for introverts.
Able to stand for long periods, lift 50+ lbs, and move between floors.
NYC Food Handler’s License (or willingness to obtain).
Comfortable with early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
