Line Cook at Kingston Mines
Job Description
Line/Prep Cook needed (Must be 21 +) - Kingston Mines, a famous Lincoln Park blues nightclub with a mostly Southern menu, is looking for an energetic self-starter. We are looking for someone with a passion for food who is sanitation-minded and scratch cooking oriented.
Hours may include:
Thursday 4:30pm - 2:00am, Friday 5:30pm - 4:00am, Saturday 5:30pm - 4:00am, Sunday 4:30pm - 2:00am
- Cooking: 1-2 years (Preferred)
- Restaurant Experience: 1-2 years (Preferred)
- ServSafe Certificate, City of Chicago Food Sanitation Certificate and Food Handler Certificate OR must obtain within 30-45 days of employment.
Line Cook Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs checks and completes logs.
- Organizational skills

- Ability to work as a team member

Job Types: Full-time/Part Time
Pay: $19.00 - 20.00 per hour
