Line Cook at Parcelle - Greenwich Village

Operations:

• Preps, sets up, cooks, cleans and breaks down the station per Parcelle’s standard operating procedure
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Understands and promotes Parcelle’s values
• Ensures that all Company food recipes and procedures are followed, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards
• Promotes and practices safe work habits through trainings, education and day-to-day management; Identifies and resolves potential safety hazards; Ensures accidents are documented following proper procedure
• Works with the senior kitchen team to ensure any maintenance or repairs needed are actively resolved

Essential Functions:

• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintains professionalism when working under stress
• Ability to perform basic math skills 
• Maintains a friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times
• Polished personal presentation; Grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
• Completes other duties as assigned by the culinary management team
