Litigation Associate (3-5yrs) Hybrid (New Jersey) at Direct Counsel

Position Overview
Direct Counsel is representing an Amlaw 100 firm seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of litigation experience for its New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation matters while working alongside highly regarded attorneys at a top-ranked national firm. Candidates should bring strong academic credentials, proven writing and research skills, and the ability to manage complex cases in state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis

• Manage both traditional and electronic discovery processes

• Appear and advocate before state and federal courts

• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop and execute litigation strategies

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance

• 3–5 years of litigation experience, ideally at a mid- to large-sized law firm

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Experience with pleadings, discovery, and courtroom appearances

• Admission in good standing to the New Jersey Bar (required)

• Federal clerkship experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $215,000 – $245,000 per year (commensurate with experience and location)
