Loan Servicing Associate I
Department: Loan Servicing
Reports to: Loan Operations Officer
Supervises: None
Status: Full-time / Non-exempt / On-site Only
Must already be authorized to work in the United States. Relocation is not provided.

Summary for the Loan Servicing Associate I:
- This position is responsible for the review of all retail loan documentation and the tracking of any exceptions from missing documents or documents requiring correction.
- Boarding of retail loans to the core system.
- Transaction entries include processing payments, payoffs, advances, reversals, and general ledger entries.
- General loan maintenance including payoff quotes, review and process residential construction advances, payment of escrowed invoices to the appropriate city/state/company, track continuation UCCs, and termination of collateral.
- This position is responsible for the review and upload of loan related documentation to the document imaging system. Some knowledge of regulatory compliance.
Job Requirements for the Loan Servicing Associate I:
- Up to two years experience in a loan servicing environment.
- Set up all retail loans to the Core system and verify documentation for accuracy and track any exceptions.
- Review and upload of loan related documentation to the document imaging system.
- Ability to multi-task, possess flexibility, and be a team player.
- Possess strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Possess strong communication skills. There is a substantial amount of telephone interaction with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize job functions.
Specific Job Functions for the Loan Servicing Associate I:
- Set up new retail loans to Core System and complete a quality control review of the file.
- Review and upload of loan related documentation to the document imaging system.
- Prompt response to all internal and external loan inquiries that include but are not limited to payments, due dates, history, interest calculations, and quoting accurate loan payoffs (calculating adequate discharge, UCC, and all other fees).
- Assist with the sales, remittance, and reporting of secondary market loans with some understanding of the secondary market requirements.
- Review and process residential construction disbursements as requested.
- Review and mail daily generated notices/statements.
- Process payments from escrow accounts and remit to the appropriate agency or company.
- Process mortgage discharges, paid notes, and terminate UCCs with the appropriate Secretary of State.
- Understand, support, and adhere to banks policies and procedures for both state and federal regulations.
- Willingness to take on any additional duties when required.
