Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview

· Voice/Data/Fiber Optic work for commercial clients-other low-voltage systems(CCTV, Card Access, A/V systems) a plus

Preferred Experience

· Commercial installation, troubleshooting and repairs of voice/data/fiber optic systems

· Knowledge and familiarity with local installation codes

Job Skills and Requirements

· Installation, termination, troubleshooting and repair of cables, jacks, patch panels, etc.

· Color vision to identify color coded wiring

· Must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately in English

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

· Must be able to move freely and safely up and down ladders or stairs

· Must be able to kneel and bend freely

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as terminating wires

· Must possess a positive attitude and be able to interact with co-workers, customers, and other trade professionals

· Must be able to read architectural drawings

· Must be able to accommodate occasional shift changes and OT work

· OSHA 10 Construction or OSHA 30 card is required

· Current NV driver’s license is required

Qualifications that would be considered advantageous

• Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and conduit in the construction industry, Telephony/ Data circuit extensions, and Network equipment installation
