Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician IV to join a national team specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of complex electronic security and technology systems. This position involves full-time travel and hands-on technical leadership in secure and mission-critical environments across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
- Conduct system inspections, preventive maintenance, and technical evaluations.
- Oversee and mentor teams on large, complex installation projects with minimal supervision.
- Program and commission head-end equipment and integrated security platforms.
- Troubleshoot and isolate hardware and software issues at local and global levels.
- Generate project documentation including reports, RFIs, takeoffs, and schedules.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures through toolbox talks and site audits.
- Collaborate with engineering and management teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Represent the company professionally on customer sites while traveling nationwide.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours), an accredited electronics program, or an electrical apprenticeship.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on electronics installation and maintenance.
- Minimum 3 years focused on electronic security systems (IDS, ACS, CCTV).
- Proven ability to lead field teams and manage project timelines.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Vendor certifications in systems such as Lenel, CCURE, Bosch, Identiv/Hirsch, BVMS, or AIPhone.
- Windows OS and system integration experience a plus.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be a U.S. citizen (position may involve eligibility for government security investigation).
- Ability to travel 100% domestically and occasionally internationally.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 60 feet.
