Job Description - Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Dismantles and moves machines and equipment/ replaces defective parts.

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.

• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and submitting requisitions.

• Completes routine preventive maintenance.

• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of system maintenance

• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment

• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations

• Skilled in analyzing information and communication

Essential Job Functions and additional Requirements:

• Ability to work overtime, off shifts and weekends as needed.

• Must be able to stand 8 to 12 hours per day.

• Must have ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

• Must be able to crawl, stoop, bend, twist and reach overhead frequently.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Must be willing to work overtime including weekends, if required.
