Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machining Electrician to join our team at our foundry facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and CNC/manual machinery used in metal casting and machining operations. This role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of equipment vital to our production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and control systems in a heavy industrial environment.
 - Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment.
 - Diagnose and correct electrical malfunctions in foundry production equipment (e.g., furnaces, molding lines, conveyors).
 - Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
 - Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and machine manuals.
 - Work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems; troubleshoot I/O, relays, sensors, and actuators.
 - Collaborate with mechanical maintenance teams and production staff to ensure minimal downtime.
 - Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of repairs and inspections.
 - Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new installations as needed.
 - Follow all OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety training.
 
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or certification in Industrial Electricity or related field preferred.
 - Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an industrial or machining electrician in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
 - Strong knowledge of electrical codes, motor controls, VFDs, and power distribution systems.
 - Experience with CNC machines and industrial automation.
 - Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems a plus.
 - Ability to work in hot, dusty, and physically demanding foundry conditions.
 - Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
 - Ability to work independently or as part of a team, including night or weekend shifts as needed.
 
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
 - Regular exposure to high heat, noise, and industrial hazards – PPE provided.
 - Stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
