Machinist and General Laborer Roles at Manpower

Our client, manufacturing industry, is seeking a Machinist and General Laborer to join their team. As a Machinist and General Laborer, you will be part of the Primary Department supporting machine operations and production. The ideal candidate will have focus, reliability, and a strong work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist and General Laborer Roles

Location: Macon, MO

Pay Range: $15 - $21 per hour (dependent on role and experience)

Shift: 1st and 2nd shift positions available

What's the Job?

• Learn and develop skills to operate and maintain secondary machines, including screw machines
• Prepare machines for startup and ensure proper operation throughout the shift
• Load, operate, and monitor machines to produce quality parts
• Inspect finished parts and deliver them to the next process step
• Complete all required documentation and maintain a clean work area

What's Needed?

• Basic arithmetic and math skills
• Ability to focus on repetitive tasks and work on your feet all day
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Some blueprint reading skills and understanding of workpiece-to-print relationships
• Willingness to learn and develop machining skills, including setup and troubleshooting
