Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer who will primarily focus on maintaining conveyors within our warehouse. This role requires a multi-craft technician who can handle night shifts independently, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems in a warehouse setting.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Ensure the continuous operation of equipment by implementing temporary fixes until further repair can be performed by the day shift.
• Work independently during night shifts, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Essential Skills

• Experience working on conveyors for at least a few years.
• Strong electrical skills, more so than mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, although programming experience is not required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution is beneficial.
• Familiarity with components and motors.

Work Environment

This position operates on a night shift from Monday to Thursday, starting at 5 pm and continuing until the trucks leave, typically around 12 hours per shift. Occasional Sunday work is necessary, especially during busy seasons like the holidays. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering a $2 shift differential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
