Job Description

- 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience

- Monitor mechanical equipment in operation, identifying abnormal sounds or performance issues to determine the cause of the malfunction.
- Disassemble machinery and components to remove and replace defective parts as necessary.
- Inspect parts for wear, damage, or imperfections, verifying dimensional accuracy and functionality.
- Adjust and calibrate machine components and control instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and install specialized mechanical and structural components.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and machine parts to maintain proper operating condition.
- Restart and test the machinery following repairs to verify successful operation.
- Operate machine shop tools, including ladles, drill presses, and grinders, for part fabrication and repair.
- Use electric arc welders and cutting torches for equipment maintenance and fabrication tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment; notify Plant Manager of replenishment needs.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with environmental compliance processes and reporting.
- Actively participate in safety programs and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
- Organize and maintain parts inventory storage, labeling locations and entering items into maintenance management software.
- Record parts usage and receipts daily within maintenance systems.
- Prepare and stage parts for scheduled maintenance and repair projects.
- Help establish optimal inventory levels to ensure required parts are available.
- Manage assigned projects from planning through completion, coordinating manpower and timelines with the Plant Manager.
- Lead personnel during maintenance shutdowns and direct contractors or support staff as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors and stay informed on industry advancements and available technologies.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support overall plant operations.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
