Maintenance Scheduler/Planner at Step Up Recruiting

A top-tier manufacturer specializing in coatings and surface treatments is seeking a proactive Maintenance Scheduler & Planner to join its operations team in Greenville, OH. This role is essential to keeping the plant running smoothly by coordinating all maintenance and repair activities. You’ll also serve as a backup to the Maintenance Supervisor throughout the year.

Your Impact:

• Develop and manage maintenance schedules to support around-the-clock plant operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, order necessary parts, and manage work order backlogs.
• Ensure critical spare parts are stocked and available to minimize downtime.
• Promote and support safety initiatives in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Responsible Care® standards.
• Drive continuous improvement using tools like TPM, cost analysis, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and technical experts to execute maintenance plans.
• Use SAP to manage work orders, procurement, and maintenance data.
• Leverage Microsoft Office and MS Project for planning, reporting, and communication.
• Lead planning efforts for annual plant shutdowns, including labor, materials, and equipment coordination.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced education is a plus.
• Experience working with chemical manufacturing equipment is highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP PM and MM modules.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning, systems, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Skilled in SAP and MS Project; familiarity with Avetta software is a bonus.
• Knowledge of multiple trades (mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, scaffolding, rigging, excavation) is a plus.
• Capable of managing emergency and non-routine events like shutdowns, startups, and commissioning.
