Job Details:

The Tyson Foods, Inc. R&D Pilot Processing Center is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to work on our 2nd shift.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Previous experience in a maintenance mechanic position.
•Must have basic computer skills.

•Responsible for working with others in your department and outside vendors.

•Basic knowledge of PLC's preferred.
•Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Welding, Motors.
•Must assist in the physical plant, equipment, building and grounds assuring they are maintained in a clean, neat and safe operating manner and are operating at peak efficiency.
•Must be able to assist with troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
•Clean, lubricate and service a wide variety of production equipment.
•Primary responsibilities are to conduct preventive maintenance on various types of production equipment.
•Must be ready to respond immediately to emergency situations.
•High level of analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems.
•Maintain automated machines and conveyors to reduce down time.
•Trouble shoot hydraulics and pneumatics components such as check valves, control valves, cylinders, pumps, filters etc.; 
•Have knowledge of USDA & FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
•Must be familiar with all aspects of Safety like LOTO, Confined Spaces, Fall      Protection, etc.

•Attendance background will be considered.

•Must be willing to work occasional weekends or other shifts if needed.

•Must have or be willing to obtain.an Arkansas State steam boiler license.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Able to lift 70 pounds
•Basic electrical and strong mechanical experience
•Great oral and written communication skills

•Must have basic computer skills.  
•5 years experience in a maintenance mechanic position
•Technical training certifications preferred
•Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Welding, Motors and PLC's •Great sense of urgency
•Food industry experience preferred
