Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance on projects and equipment 20% of the time, and maintaining production by troubleshooting stamping presses, automatic feeders, coil spoils, and other related equipment 80% of the time. You will also handle electrical troubleshooting, including 3 phase, 480V systems, and PLC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on projects and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain stamping presses, automatic feeders, and coil spoils.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting on 3 phase, 480V systems, and PLCs.
  • Repair and fabricate metal stamping press components.
  • Install and troubleshoot pneumatic lines and repair sensors.
  • Weld and fabricate as necessary for equipment maintenance.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in metal stamping press repair.
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication, including welding carts and mounting sensors.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting of pneumatics, including installing new lines.
  • Electrical experience, including 480V, 3 Phase wiring and machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Preventive maintenance experience on robotics, including servo motors and faults.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on a third shift from 10 PM to 6 AM, and a second shift from 2 PM to 10 PM, each with a 20-minute break/lunch. There is an occasional need to cover the first shift and some Saturdays. The work environment includes an open floor plan with robotic cells, and the dress code is casual to accommodate the active nature of the job.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
