Departmental Objective:

To provide overall management of the Captains Card Program and Campus Vending Services, as well as to provide leadership and direction for the University’s Welcome Desk (information Center). To serve as the Contract Administrator for Campus Vending Services including Beverage Vending, Snack Vending, and Laundry Vending services.

Purpose of the Position:

Under the general direction of and in support of the Associate Vice President for Auxiliary Services, the Manager of Captains Card Program and Campus Vending Services provides overall management of the Captains Card Program and Campus Vending Services. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Captains Card(one-card/ID card) Program including processing, recording, depositing, and reconciling all monies related to the Captains Card as well as assigning meal plan privileges and dining dollars to student meal plans. It also manages Campus Vending Services, including serving as the Contract Administrator, for Beverage Vending, Snack Vending, and Laundry Vending services. Additionally, this position manages long-term lease agreements for the CNU Print Anywhere system for students, faculty, and staff. It also serves as the Auxiliary Services primary point-of-contact for services associated with the Captains Card Program and Campus Vending Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position:

Required:

  • Knowledge of and skilled in managing a campus one-card-ID Card program utilizing Blackboard Transact, or similar one-card-ID card software system, in a college or university setting
  • Knowledge of office operations
  • Ability to utilize spreadsheet, word processing, database and presentation software
  • Ability to use of computerized systems to monitor budgets and produce financial reports
  • Ability to independently interpret and explain policies and procedures to students, faculty/staff, and the community
  • Ability to solve problems and work with close attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to work well with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Preferred:
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use the Banner system to monitor budgets and produce financial reports
  • Skilled in the use of eVA procurement system
  • Skilled in the use of Events Management System including Conference Programmer, or similar events/scheduling software

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :

Required Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma

Experience Required:
  • Experience with accounting and/or bookkeeping
  • Experience supervising
  • Experience creating policies and procedures
  • Experience with software such as spreadsheets, word processing and databases
  • Experience working in an office environment

Additional Consideration(s):

Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Accounting, Information Systems or other closely related field

Experience Preferred:
  • Experience managing a one-card program with Blackboard Transact, or similar ID card software system, in a college or university setting
  • Experience with eVA procurement system
  • Training and experience with the Banner system
  • Experience as a cashier
  • Experience with contract administration and management in a college or university setting

Salary Information:

Starting at $50,258, Commensurate with Education and Experience
