The Office of the Chancellor at UCLA serves as the central executive authority, guiding the university's strategic vision and ensuring the fulfillment of its mission in education, research, and public service. The chancellor shapes the campus's strategic plan and oversees a substantial budget, managing a diverse community of over 43,000 students, 4,300 faculty, and 42,000 staff members.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff to the Chancellor, the Managing Director, Chancellor's Office serves as a senior strategic advisor, operational leader, and executive project manager supporting the work of the Chancellor and the Chancellor's Office. This role exercises significant judgment, discretion, and political acumen in coordinating cross-functional initiatives, leading special projects, and providing operational oversight within the Chancellor's Office. The incumbent will lead the implementation of executive initiatives; provide high-level analytical support and policy guidance; represent the Chancellor's Office in interactions with senior campus leadership and external partners; and ensure that institutional priorities are advanced efficiently and effectively.
