Job Title:

Electrician & Control Panel Builder – Water Treatment Manufacturing

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician & Control Panel Builder to join our water treatment manufacturing team. This position involves assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels, integrating components into treatment systems, and ensuring high-quality, reliable builds that meet industry and customer standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels based on schematics and layout drawings.

  • Install and integrate electrical components, sensors, and instruments into water treatment systems.

  • Read, interpret, and update electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and panel layouts.

  • Perform conduit runs, cable routing, and power/control wiring for pumps, motors, and instrumentation.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, and control systems during assembly and testing.

  • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and production staff to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

  • Document wiring changes, perform continuity and functionality testing, and assist in quality assurance.

  • Adhere to NEC, UL, and OSHA safety and wiring standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Provide occasional field support for installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting as needed (domestic or international travel may be required but is not a regular part of the job).

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician, control panel builder, or similar role.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control wiring diagrams.

  • Solid understanding of motor controls, relays, PLC I/O wiring, and VFD installations.

  • Familiar with NEC standards and general industrial electrical safety practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Electrical license, journeyman certification, or equivalent experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. or internationally when required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with UL 508A panel construction and labeling standards.

  • Experience with water or wastewater treatment systems and process controls.

  • Basic knowledge of automation, PLCs, and instrumentation wiring.

  • Competence with schematic and layout drawings with ability to work on drawings with engineers.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay: $25.00 – $40 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
