Marine Electrician at Aerotek

Marine Electrician – U.S. Navy Ship & Submarine Support | 1st Shift | Travel Required

We are seeking a Marine Electrician to provide electrical support for galley and laundry systems aboard U.S. Navy ships and submarines. This is a hands-on role involving system upgrades, troubleshooting, and installations in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical modifications and upgrades on systems ranging from 120V to 480V.

• Install breakers, fuses, transformers, cables, and power panels.

• Conduct electrical calculations and develop scopes of work for repairs.

• Execute lockout/tagout procedures and follow strict U.S. Navy protocols.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

• Maintain clean and safe job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• 1st Class Marine Electrician experience required.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Galley system experience is a major plus.

• Refrigeration and electrical experience preferred.

• Ability to run installations independently—not just cable pulling.

• Clean driving record required.

• Must pass an electrician test.

• Former military (especially Navy) experience highly preferred.

Schedule & Travel:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM + Overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
