Lariat Lodge Brewing Company is seeking a full-time Market Trends & Sales Strategist to join our growing distribution and operations team. This hybrid role bridges data analysis and field sales, turning insights into placements, stronger distributor partnerships, and measurable growth in both draft and package beer sales.

Position Details
Job Title: Market Trends & Sales Strategist
Location: Front Range / Denver Metro (includes travel to Evergreen & Littleton locations)

Pay & Compensation Disclosure (per EPEWA)
Pay Range: $50,000 per year plus commission based on sales performance
Pay Frequency: Base weekly. Commission monthly
Tipped Position: No
Advancement Opportunities: Eligible for review and potential promotion after 12 months of employment

Mission
Use market and sales data to identify the right beers, target the right accounts, and win placements—then personally execute or lead the sell-in, sampling, and activation efforts that grow revenue and expand distribution. Accomplish this through regular collaboration with the Sales & Distribution Manager, Head Brewer, Director of Operations, and Ownership to ensure alignment between production, sales strategy, and brand goals.
Core Responsibilities:
Market & Data Intelligence
- Analyze distributor and retail data (VIP, Encompass, Circana/NIQ) to identify trends and market opportunities.
- Turn insights into actionable sales priorities and data-backed sell stories.
- Build and share dashboards and reports for team visibility using Excel, Power BI, or Slides.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and channel performance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the three-tier system and its impact on strategy.
- Field Sales & Account Growth
- Prospect, open, and grow on- and off-premise accounts through consistent follow-up and relationship building.
- Execute placements, displays, and menu features to increase brand visibility and velocity.
- Conduct tastings, festivals, and brand activations as a front-line ambassador for Lariat Lodge.
- Maintain accurate CRM records (Lilypad or similar) including call cycles, notes, samples, and follow-ups.
Distributor & Account Management
- Collaborate with distributor partners to share goals, align incentives, and monitor execution.
- Use distributor reporting portals to track orders, depletions, and retail pull-through in real time.
- Identify inventory gaps or out-of-stock risks and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
- Assist with collecting invoice payments and organizing a proactive collections strategy to ensure timely payments from accounts.
- Prepare and maintain reports summarizing account balances, payment trends, and collection activity for leadership review.
Trade Marketing & Activation
- Develop localized marketing playbooks by channel, including sampling calendars, POS needs, and event budgets.
- Partner with marketing and operations to execute promotional events and activations.
- Measure results and prepare post-event summaries highlighting ROI and performance insights.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in craft beer sales, distribution, or CPG data analysis.
- Proficiency with Excel and/or Power BI; experience with VIP, Encompass, Circana, or NIQ preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Colorado market and three-tier system.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable in the field and at events.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends for events and tastings.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
- Cicerone Level 1 or equivalent beer knowledge
- Experience mentoring and teaching interns or junior sales team members
