Master Electrician at FM Search

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair across a variety of settings, including residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments. This role involves reading blueprints, diagnosing electrical problems, ensuring code compliance, and mentoring apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with national, state, local building codes, and safety regulations.
• Inspect electrical components and systems using testing devices to diagnose issues.
• Upgrade existing electrical systems to meet current codes and safety standards.
• Coordinate and lead small teams on job sites (Master-level).
• Train and mentor electrical apprentices (Master-level).
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and code compliance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Requirements

• Active and valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum [4+] years of experience as a licensed electrician.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
