This position is anentry-level training and development position. This position willperform all tasks associated
with the wash bay, fuelIsland and yard clean up and assist other mechanics when needed.The position may make
minor repairs as determined bysupervisor.

What you'll doas an MechanicI:

• Perform preventativemaintenance service on tractor andtrailers.
• Perform light repairs and minorelectrical repairs.
• Pressure test and diagnosecoolant systems.
• Check alignments and diagnoseproblems.
• Drive or be trained to drive tractorsand or tractor-trailer combinations.
• Check anddiagnose electrical systems.
• Read preventativemaintenance list and keep current on preventative maintenancedue.
• Perform light repairs on 'Driverwrite-ups' and 'fuel island' repairs.
• Work FuelIsland as needed.
• Clean shop areas asneeded.
• Maintain fleettires.
• Comply effectively with company work andsafety rules.
• Obtain a set of tools and toolstorage within 3 months of date ofhire.
• Effectively communicate both written andorally with supervisor and peers.
• Followdirections.
• Work independently and in a teamenvironment.
• Be trained and certified tooperate any required equipment within 30 days afterhire.
• Comply with company attendancepolicy.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule tomeet the changing needs of the job. Must be available for shopon-call rotation, and able to do road calls using a companyvehicle.

Qualificationsyou'll bring as a MechanicI:

• Have High SchoolDiploma or GED. Tech School classes or equivalent trainingpreferred.
• Possess a Valid Class C DriversLicense.
• Have 2 years experience inpreventative maintenance, minor repairs on tractor and trailers,some electrical diagnostics, light repairs, dismounting andmounting tire machine, use of tire bars, and use of tiregun.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull,grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.
• This position requires the ability to read,write, and understand English at a level sufficient to performjob-related tasks effectively and safely. This includesunderstanding work instructions, safety protocols, andcommunications essential to the role. The requirement is directlyrelated to the nature of the job and ensures compliance withworkplace safety and operationalstandards.
