On-site in Grain Valley, MO. Local travel as needed. Base pay: $27.00–$30.00 per hour DOE. Role builds and wires industrial water-filtration equipment and supports production and shipping.
Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Assembler - Industrial Water/Wastewater Systems
- Measure, cut, thread, glue, drill, and tap plastic and metal plumbing per drawings.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, grind, fabricate, and fasten components.
- Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies and top-level builds per work instructions.
- Perform basic wiring and terminations from electrical drawings, route and label conductors.
- Run and install rigid, PVC, and flexible conduit.
- Operate saws, threaders, paint equipment; stage materials and maintain 5S.
- Interconnect mechanical and electrical components on skids/equipment.
- Build wooden crates, skids, and mounts; package and prepare shipments.
- Troubleshoot assemblies; support field/service repairs.
- Read blueprints and schematics; verify parts to specs; document work.
- Meet project deadlines and ship dates; uphold safety and housekeeping.
Qualifications – Mechanical Assembler - Industrial Water/Wastewater Systems
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years industrial production or maintenance.
- Proficient with hand and power tools (drill press, grinder, etc.).
- Fabrication basics and shop safety knowledge.
- Read drawings; perform measurements and basic math.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, basic terminations.
- Clear written and verbal communication; email etiquette.
- Organized, detail-focused; handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Team-focused with reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications – Mechanical Assembler - Industrial Water/Wastewater Systems
- Heavy industrial assembly experience.
- Exposure to wastewater or industrial process equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel; lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Use hands/fingers to handle tools and parts, visual acuity for assembly.
- Medium industrial setting; potential noise and chemical exposure; PPE and hearing protection per OSHA/MO guidance.
