Conveyor Mechanic Superintendent

Location: Nationwide Travel | Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Contract-to-Hire (150 days with S3, then transition to Contractor)

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking Conveyor Mechanic Superintendents to oversee large-scale conveyor and automation installation projects. This role begins under S3 employment and transitions to full-time upon successful completion of the contract term.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise teams of 2030 mechanics on installation projects.
• Oversee projects ranging from 23 weeks to 68 months in duration.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, 2D and 3D renderings.
• Perform layout and preplanning to ensure efficient project execution.
• Drive daily management of project schedules, keeping work on track and within deadlines.
• Provide effective leadership and mentorship across diverse teams with varying skill levels.

Preferred Experience

• AutoStore installation experience (highly preferred).
• Previous project work with UPS, FedEx, Amazon, or other large-scale logistics facilities.

Compensation & Benefits

While employed with S3 (first 5 months):

• Pay: $32/hour
• Per Diem: $120/day
• Schedule: 58 hours per week (5x10s + 8 hours on Saturday)

Once hired on directly with GC:

• Pay: ~$35/hour
• Per Diem: $158/day
• 401(k) with 5% company match

• Paid travel time to return home monthly or bi-monthly

Requirements

• Ability to read prints, layouts, and technical drawings.
• Proven leadership experience managing large installation teams.
• Willingness to travel for extended project durations.
• 10-panel drug screen required.
• Background check required (no violent offenses or crimes against children; other charges evaluated case by case).
