WANTED: Mechanical Draftsperson MRA is looking for a Mechanical Draftsperson with CAD skills to create detailed drawings – to support the design and production of custom fabrication and buildout of mobile experiential trailers. Essential Skills – and Attitude! Creating a compelling experiential environment is both a form of art and an engineering feat! Our Draftsperson will work closely with Fortune 100 clients and our talented design teams to bring each customer’s vision to life – flexing between 3D concepts, detailed drawings and CAD renderings. Skills and Experience Our Draftsperson is responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and blueprints to ensure that all designs are accurate and production ready (feasible) to industry standards. Essential skills include CAD software platforms, understanding custom fabrication as well as following detailed project schedules. Most importantly, MRA is all about team. Key responsibilities include: CAD/Technical Drawings Creation Detailed CAD engineering drawings (ex. AutoCAD) Fabrication and millworks drawings (ex. SolidWorks) Develop and revise engineering drawings, layouts, schematics and diagrams Collaboration: Work closely with customers and designers to interpret project specifications and requirements Collaborate with production teams to ensure drawings are practical and manufacturable Materials and Process Specifications Specify materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes Ensure that all specifications meet required standards for safety requirements Design Review and Revision Review and revise existing drawings and designs based on feedback and production requirements Update drawings to reflect any changes in design, materials or manufacturing Documentation Maintain accurate records of drawings and related drawings, exercising vision control protocols Prepare and issue final drawings and documentation to production teams Software Proficiency Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) to create and modify drawings Stay updated with latest software tools and technologies Problem Solving Identify and address potential design or manufacturing issues during the drafting process Propose solutions to improve the manufacturing and efficiency of designs Education High School Diploma (minimum) College Diploma or experience (preferred) Experience Experience working in CAD software is essential. Work experience is preferred, but we’re also willing to invest in your future – and ours.
