Mechanical & Hydraulic Technician

Location: Bastrop, TX
Schedule: Full-time, hands-on role (overtime available)

We are looking for a highly skilled Hydraulic Integration Technician to support the build, assembly, and testing of large industrial equipment used in major infrastructure and heavy-construction applications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving in real time, and contributing to the development of advanced machinery systems.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment assembling complex hydraulic and mechanical systems, ensuring quality and performance, and supporting field-level installation and operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with high-pressure hydraulic systems and heavy equipment.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install hydraulic and mechanical components, including pumps, valves, manifolds, hoses, and tubing

  • Fabricate, crimp, and pressure-test hydraulic hose assemblies

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems

  • Perform equipment maintenance, upgrades, and system checks

  • Operate industrial tools and machinery (forklifts, lifts, hand and power tools, torque tools, etc.)

  • Maintain safety standards when working with fluid power systems and heavy equipment

  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with specifications

  • Support field deployment and equipment setup activities in demanding environments


Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5+ years' experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or industrial equipment maintenance or assembly

  • 2+ years working with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  • Experience using hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and measuring tools


Preferred Skills

  • Trade school certificate or coursework in mechanical or hydraulic systems

  • Experience with industrial, heavy-equipment, or large-scale mechanical assembly

  • Ability to diagnose problems and implement permanent solutions

  • Familiarity with multi-craft industrial trades (millwright, mechanical, or fluid power strongly preferred)

  • Attention to detail and ability to operate with urgency and discipline

  • Proficiency writing service or repair documentation
