As a Mechanical Installer /Upfit Technician for Fenton Mobility, you'll help turn van shells into fully accessible vehicles that empower people with disabilities to travel safely and with dignity. Every install you do directly improves someone's independence.

  • Salary depends on you! We have 3 skill levels. Most people start at our Tier 1 level. Tier 2 and Tier 3 (Line Lead) openings pay up to $29/hr for well-qualified people.
What You'll Be Doing as Upfit Technician
  • Installing ramps, brackets, flooring, lifts, and interior hardware in vans
  • Drilling, mounting, routing wires, and modifying vehicle interiors
  • Handling hydraulic lines and electrical systems for mobility components
  • Troubleshooting issues to ensure safety and compliance standards are met
  • Prepping vehicles and coordinating with team leads on custom installs
About You
  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Experienced with hand tools, mechanical assembly, or upfitting
  • Comfortable reading installation diagrams or adapting in real-time
  • Familiar with vehicle interiors, electrical basics, or light fabrication
  • Enjoys working in a team setting where craftsmanship matters
