Mechanical Project Manager at FP GLOBAL INC

Position: Mechanical Project Manager Location: Richmond, VA Experiences and Expertise: Seven to ten years experience in mechanical contracting project management preferably with a $50 million to $80 million company (or larger). Experience managing projects in the $8 million to $12 million range with above average performance. Prefer individuals with BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. Ability to work without direct supervision. Strong interpersonal skills. Effectively and confidently, deal with employees, subcontractors, clients, or client representatives. Resolves situations issues in a non-confrontational manner. Superior communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership abilities. Clearly defines the requirements and scope of work to employees working with him/her on a project as well as subcontractors. Assures that the requirements are understood and the employee(s) and/or subcontractor(s) are accountable for their performance. Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, Excel & Word). Business software is Timberline. Strong analytical skills. Comfortable working through details and developing viable solutions to client problems. Superior time management and planning skills. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Project managers usually have a “bundle of work” between $7 million and $12 million. This could be one major project or 2 – 5 projects. At the high end, the project manager may have a coordinator and/or an assistant project manager working with them. Strong emphasis on quality of work product and producing results
