Job DescriptionUW MEDICINE IT SERVICES has an outstanding job opportunity for a Medical Device Integration Analyst 3 .WORK SCHEDULE100% FTE - 40 hours per weekDay Shift - UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 - 17:00 (PST), Monday-FridayPosition requires participation in off-hours, on-call support rotationDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONUW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSHYBRID opportunity (minimum of two days a week onsite)Values-based work environmentActive departmental Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee15 days of vacation your first year - Also, 12 days of sick time, 1 personal holiday, and 11 paid holidays each year100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b)PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerforming advanced, high-level programming in the development and implementation of Medical Device Integrations with Capsule SmartLinx and patient monitoring devices including Phillips, Spacelabs, and OBIXImplementing and supporting advanced level medical device integrationsEnsuring integrity of data and minimizing disruption to customersLeading intermediate level projects and initiativesParticipating in team process improvements and personal development activities, including mentoring more junior staffBeing a lead resource on large enterprise projects, including major organizational implementations of software that require complex interface knowledgeREQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experienceCapsule Tech certification highly desiredEpic Bridges certification highly desired5+ years' experience of recent IT experience must include the below4+ years of experience implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting medical device integration toolsExperience must include supporting Capsule Tech middleware - including Neurons and SmartLINX servers4+ years of experience integrating Medical Device Gateways, such as Philips, SpaceLabs, and Welch-Allyn, with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) like Epic4+ years providing EHR systems application maintenance/support and configuration as it relates to medical device dataExtensive experience with hospital/clinic workflows such as scheduling/Reg/ADT, Orders of ancillary systems, and patient care as it relates to a major EHRExtensive experience with successful systems analysis and/or programming on mission-critical, clinical information systemsExperience working on medium to large sized clinical information system projects within a formal project management methodologyDemonstrated experience leading MDI activities and gathering requirements from leadership level staffExperience mentoring and training team members in technical skillsAdvanced knowledge of HL7 standard version 2.x, Philips MDIL, TCP/IP, and serial communicationsAdvanced experience with basic operation and integration of medical devices such as bedside patient monitors, anesthesia machines, ventilators, and infusion pumpsAdvanced knowledge of database structures and administration, programming languages, networked environment, TCP/IP network protocol, Windows workstations and servers, Microsoft Office, and the internetAdvanced ability translating business needs into technology requirementsAdvanced ability conducting research into software solutions, medical device integrations, and products independentlyExpertise with multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, and their integration into various applications and equipmentUW MEDICINE - WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHERUW Medicine is Washington's only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
