Medical Director - Hematology/Oncology
Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center - Fayetteville, North Carolina

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to serve as Medical Director of our growing Cancer Center. This is a rare leadership opportunity to join an established, high-performing group and help shape the future of oncology care for our expanding patient population across Cumberland County and the surrounding region.

Our comprehensive cancer program includes two fully integrated locations offering medical oncology, radiation oncology (including CyberKnife), and a full suite of support services. We are proud to be QOPI Certified and hold accreditations from both the Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

As Medical Director, youll lead a team of experienced providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Youll also play a key role in strategic planning, quality initiatives, and program development as we continue to grow to meet the needs of our community.

Candidates must meet the qualifications to hold an academic appointment, as this role includes participation in medical education in partnership with our residency programs and the newly established Methodist University School of Medicine at Cape Fear Valley Health.

Program Highlights:

  • Dedicated oncology support services including Oncology Social Workers, Oncology Dietitians, Clinical Trials Team, and a Complementary Medicine Program
  • Navigated Lung Nodule Clinic and Breast Center for coordinated, multidisciplinary care
  • Monday-Friday clinic hours, with rotating weekday and weekend call shared among the group
  • Strong administrative and clinical infrastructure to support leadership efforts
