Our Team
Asheville Veterinary Associates is a three-doctor practiceworking collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care. As MedicalDirector, you will lead our talented team while fostering a supportiveenvironment that encourages professional growth, learning, and excellence inpatient care.
Medical Director Responsibilities
- Provide strategic medical leadership andoversight for all veterinary operations.
 - Establish and maintain medical protocols andquality care standards
 - Mentor and develop associate veterinarians andsupport staff
 - Monitor doctor performance and production
 - Oversee surgical and medical cases, ensuringpositive outcomes and excellent client communication
 - Drive revenue growth
 - Participate in recruiting and interviewingprocess for doctors and key staff members
 - Collaborate with practice management on businessinitiatives and hospital growth
 - Support inventory management and cost controlmeasures
 - Maintain strong relationships with clients andthe community

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) anaccredited university
 - Current North Carolina veterinary license ingood standing
 - Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
 - Previous leadership or management experiencerequired
 - Strong surgical and medical skills
 - Excellent communication and interpersonalabilities
 - Demonstrated team leadership and developmentcapabilities
 - Interest in or experience with integrativemedicine approaches
 - Business acumen and financial management skills
