Medical Director of Cardiology (Full-Time)

Adirondack Health seeks a non-interventional (medical) cardiologist to serve as Medical Director of Cardiology. Lead a community-focused program while providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care. You’ll work with experienced APPs and a well- trained clinical support team in a collegial, mission-driven environment.

The Role
• Provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care (clinic and inpatient
consults/rounding).
• Lead the Heart Center service line: quality, safety, access, and patient experience
initiatives.
• Oversee and optimize non-invasive testing (e.g., echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring) in collaboration with clinical leaders.
• Mentor physicians, APPs, and staff; support recruitment, education, and performance improvement.
• Engage in strategic planning and growth for regional cardiology services.

Qualifications
• MD/DO with ABIM Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Eligible for/holding New York State medical license.
• Demonstrated leadership experience (medical director, section chief, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong commitment to team-based, patient-centered care in a rural/community setting.
• Training/certifications in echocardiography and/or nuclear cardiology.

Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: $560,000 – $675,000, commensurate with experience.
• Productivity bonus and Medical Director stipend available.
