Job Description

Envision Physician Services is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to serve as the Regional Medical Director (RMD) for our Orlando Health System facilities in the Orlando area. This role offers a 50/50 split between clinical practice and dedicated leadership responsibilities, with a high-level focus on work/life balance. The RMD will serve as the physician executive responsible for driving quality care, operational efficiency, and financial performance across the Orlando Health book of business.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical & Operational Leadership
The RMD will be a key leader in all aspects of division management and is expected to guide the market to both clinical and financial success. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of medical care quality and appropriateness across Orlando Health facilities:
    • Orlando Regional Medical Center
    • Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies
    • Dr. P. Phillips Hospital
    • Health Central Hospital
    • Horizon West Hospital
    • Lake Mary Hospital
    • St. Cloud Hospital
    • South Lake Hospital
  • Active involvement in physician recruitment, including interviewing and selection.
  • Partnership with the market Director of Operations on:
    • Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR)
    • Capacity Demand Management
    • Physician productivity initiatives
    • Market financial performance
    • Schedule administration
  • Collaboration with Executive Leadership of Orlando Health, at the local and system levels, to refine and enhance anesthesia models and best practices with an evidenced medicine-based approach.
  • Robust Support Structure from Envision and Orlando Health with dedicated operational, clinical, and administrative support teams ensuring alignment, responsiveness, and the resources needed to drive success across the system.

Stewardship & Client Relations
The RMD will represent the practice at the executive level, maintaining strong relationships with Orlando Health regional leaders. Responsibilities include:

  • Participation in regional operating reviews and strategic meetings.
  • Presentation and interpretation of KPI metrics.
  • Advocacy for best practices and continuous improvement.
