We are looking for a dedicated Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our Dermatology team in San Francisco, California. This role involves delivering exceptional administrative and patient support in a fast-paced dermatology office. As part of our front desk team, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, accurate scheduling, and an outstanding patient experience. This is a long-term contract position offering stability and growth opportunities.
Hours change each week: 7AM-3PM and then 9AM-6PM depending if you are the opening shift or closing. Must have schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities:
• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and pre-screening processes to ensure a seamless experience.
• Handle cash transactions and manage billing functions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Coordinate appointments and schedules by collaborating effectively with providers and staff.
• Maintain and update medical records while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Answer inbound calls promptly and provide helpful information or direct inquiries appropriately.
• Monitor and manage office supplies, ensuring inventory is maintained and organized.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to support daily operations.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed to support the team and office functions.
• Create and maintain charts, graphs, and other documentation to support office operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in a medical office or fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with software such as Nextech is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service are essential.
• Experience handling cash transactions and billing processes is highly beneficial.
• Ability to multitask effectively and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
