Medical Front Office Specialist – Contract-to-Hire | $20–$23/hr | Chicago, ILA well-established medical practice in Chicago is seeking a Medical Front Office Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for candidates with prior medical office experience who thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.Position Type: Contract-to-HireLocation: Chicago, ILPay Range: $20–$23 per hourSchedule: Full-time, standard business hoursRole Summary:As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth front office operations. You’ll work closely with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care and maintain a professional and welcoming environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and courtesy
  • Schedule appointments and manage confirmations
  • Verify insurance and collect co-pays
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and respond to inquiries
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient patient flow
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical front office setting
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and HIPAA compliance
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
